SPS Commerce
SPS Commerce is an EDI network: retailers such as department stores and big-box chains send you purchase orders through it, and expect electronic replies. Connecting SPS Commerce to SKU.io turns that exchange into ordinary order handling.
| Direction | What moves | When |
|---|---|---|
| In from SPS Commerce | Retailer purchase orders | Every five minutes, or when you click Check SPS for new orders |
| Out to SPS Commerce | An acknowledgment for each purchase order | As soon as its sales order is created |
| Out to SPS Commerce | A ship notice for each shipment | As soon as the shipment is recorded |
Each purchase order becomes a sales order on its own once every line matches one of your products. Your retailers' part numbers rarely match your SKUs, so the first order from a new item usually waits for you to map it. You only map an item once.
You can connect one SPS Commerce account to SKU.io.
Where to find it
Go to Apps & Integrations, then choose SPS Commerce under EDI / Retail Trading Partners. Once you're connected, open the connection to reach its Dashboard, Purchase Orders, and Settings tabs.
