Mercury

Connect your Mercury business bank account to pay suppliers without leaving SKU.io. You pick a bill, a purchase invoice or a vendor deposit, choose how much to pay, and send it. Every payment is approved before any money moves, either by a teammate in SKU.io or by an admin in Mercury. Once Mercury sends the money, SKU.io records the payment on the bill or deposit for you, dated on the day it left the bank.

SKU.io also mirrors every transaction in your Mercury account and matches the outgoing ones to your bills, purchase invoices and vendor deposits. A wire you sent straight from Mercury's own app can be recorded against its purchase order in one click.

Before you begin: you need a Mercury business account, a Mercury admin who can approve payments or create API tokens, and the Integrations permissions in SKU.io. To pay, you need the Send payments permission, and to approve in SKU.io, Approve payments. Both are in Settings → Roles, under Mercury Bill Pay.

What Mercury does in SKU.io

When…SKU.io…
You pay a bill, purchase invoice or vendor deposit with MercuryCreates one payment for that supplier, waiting for approval. Nothing reaches the supplier yet
Someone approves itSends it from your Mercury account by ACH, domestic wire or check
Mercury confirms the money was sentRecords the payment on the bill or deposit, dated on the bank date. The payment then syncs to QuickBooks or Xero like any other
Someone declines it, or Mercury refuses or returns itLeaves the bill or deposit unpaid (or reopens it), so it can be paid again, and tells the person who sent it
Money leaves your Mercury account any other wayLists the transaction on the Bank transactions tab and suggests the bill or deposit it most likely paid

Mercury pays in US dollars only. Bills and deposits in another currency can't be paid with Mercury.
