Trackstar
Trackstar is a connector that links to many warehouse management systems and 3PLs through one interface. When your 3PL runs a system SKU.io has no direct integration for, you can often reach it through Trackstar instead. The connection sends orders out to that warehouse, brings shipments, tracking, and shipping cost back, and keeps a copy of the warehouse's inventory, receiving, returns, and bills you can review in SKU.io.
Reach a 3PL that has no direct integration
Each Trackstar connection in SKU.io is one warehouse system that you've linked in your Trackstar account. To add another 3PL, link its system in Trackstar and create one more Trackstar connection in SKU.io with that system's connection ID. You can connect as many as you need.
Not every warehouse system supports everything. After you connect, the Dashboard lists the system's Available actions, and any tab the system doesn't support is greyed out with "Not supported by" and the system's name.
What moves each way
| Direction | What moves | When |
|---|---|---|
| Out to the warehouse | Fulfillment orders, with updates and cancellations | When the fulfillment order is submitted |
| In from the warehouse | Shipments, tracking numbers, carrier, and shipping cost | Instantly through Trackstar's notifications, with order checks every 4 hours and tracking checks hourly |
| In from the warehouse | Inventory and its movement history | As the warehouse reports changes |
| In from the warehouse | Inbound shipments (receiving), returns, products, and bills | As the warehouse reports them, as read-only lists |
SKU.io doesn't send products or inbound shipments to the warehouse, and it never changes its own stock from the warehouse's numbers on its own. Compare them on the Inventory tab and correct SKU.io with a stock take.
