ShipRush
ShipRush is Descartes' multi-carrier label software: your warehouse team rate-shops and prints labels in ShipRush, and SKU.io records what shipped. ShipRush works differently from most shipping apps. SKU.io doesn't send orders to ShipRush. Instead, SKU.io keeps an order feed, and ShipRush checks it for new orders on its own schedule. When a label is printed, ShipRush sends the shipment back to SKU.io.
What moves each way
| Direction | What moves | When |
|---|---|---|
| Out to ShipRush | Fulfillment orders from the warehouses you route to ShipRush: ship-to address, items, weights in pounds, and the requested shipping method | When ShipRush next checks the feed after you submit the fulfillment order |
| Out to ShipRush | Changes and cancellations of orders that haven't shipped | When ShipRush next checks the feed |
| In from ShipRush | The shipment: tracking numbers (one per parcel), carrier, service, and the label cost | As soon as the label is printed |
When a shipment comes back, SKU.io creates the fulfillment with its tracking numbers, deducts the stock from the warehouse it shipped from, and sends the tracking to your sales channel. If Record shipping costs is on, the label cost is saved on the fulfillment.
ShipRush doesn't receive your products, stock levels, or purchase orders. It has no catalog or inventory of its own to sync with.
Things to know
- Cancelling. Cancel a fulfillment order in SKU.io and its ShipRush order shows as Cancelled on ShipRush's next check of the feed. A label that's already printed can't be undone from SKU.io. If ShipRush prints a label for an order you've cancelled, the shipment is still recorded, and it's flagged Shipped after cancellation so you can void the label in ShipRush or recover the goods.
- Weights. ShipRush works in pounds and inches, and SKU.io converts for you. A product with no weight still goes out, but its order shows Export warning: no weight for followed by the SKU.
- Carrier services. ShipRush sends the carrier and service as text. Map each one to a SKU.io shipping method on the Shipping Methods tab. A shipment on an unmapped service is still recorded, without a shipping method.
- One account. You can connect one ShipRush account.
