ShipBob statuses reference

The ShipBob integration shows several separate sets of statuses. Most mirror what ShipBob reports. The bill and invoice statuses are SKU.io's own. This page lists every value in each set, its color, and what it means.

Order statuses

Shown in the Status column of the Orders tab and on an order's detail page. These are ShipBob's own order statuses, mirrored as ShipBob reports them.

StatusColorMeaning
ProcessingBlueShipBob accepted the order and is working on it.
ExceptionRedShipBob can't ship the order. The shipment's status detail says why, for example Out of Stock.
On HoldOrangeShipBob is holding the order, for example over an invalid address.
Partially FulfilledAmberSome of the order's shipments have shipped and others haven't.
FulfilledGreenEvery shipment has shipped.
CompletedGreenShipBob has closed the order.
CancelledRedThe order was cancelled, in ShipBob or from SKU.io.
Import ReviewAmberShipBob is reviewing the order before it accepts it.

You can't cancel an order from SKU.io once it's Fulfilled, Completed, or Cancelled.

An External chip next to the status marks an order that came from one of your other ShipBob channels, such as your own store connection, rather than from SKU.io. SKU.io shows it for reference but can't change or cancel it.

Shipment statuses

Shown in the Status column of the Shipments tab and on a shipment's detail page. One order can have several shipments when its items ship from more than one fulfillment center.

StatusColorMeaning
NoneGreyShipBob hasn't given the shipment a status yet.
ProcessingBlueShipBob is picking and packing the shipment.
Label CreatedDark blueShipBob created the shipping label. SKU.io treats the shipment as shipped and records it as a fulfillment.
CompletedGreenThe shipment left the fulfillment center. SKU.io records it as a fulfillment and passes the tracking to the sales order.
ExceptionRedShipBob can't ship it. Read the Status Detail for the reason.
On HoldOrangeShipBob is holding it. Read the Status Detail for the reason.
CancelledRedThe shipment was cancelled.
Clean SweepedBlue-greyShipBob closed the shipment out without shipping it.
Import ReviewAmberShipBob is reviewing the shipment before it starts work.

Only two shipment statuses record a fulfillment on the sales order: Completed and Label Created. Don't confuse Label Created, a status, with Labeled, a status detail below. Labeled marks a step in packing and doesn't record anything.

Shipment status details

Shown in the Status Detail column of the Shipments tab and on the shipment's timeline. ShipBob adds a status detail to say where a shipment is, or why it's stuck. The color shows the stage.

Status detailColorStageMeaning
PickedBluePickItems were pulled from the shelf.
PackedDark bluePackItems were packed.
LabeledDark bluePackThe shipping label was applied.
In TransitGreenTransitThe carrier has the parcel.
Out for DeliveryGreenTransitThe carrier is delivering it today.
DeliveredGreenTransitThe carrier delivered it.
Delivery ExceptionRedExceptionThe carrier couldn't deliver it.
Out of StockRedExceptionShipBob can't allocate the units the order needs at the fulfillment center it assigned.
Unknown SKURedExceptionShipBob doesn't recognize a product on the order.
Invalid AddressRedExceptionShipBob can't ship to the address.
Missing Tariff InformationRedExceptionAn international shipment lacks the customs details ShipBob needs.
ManualRedExceptionShipBob staff put the shipment on hold by hand.
No Package Preference SetRedExceptionShipBob has no packaging set for an item.

A status detail ShipBob adds that isn't in this list shows as its number. Picked, Packed, and Labeled are milestones only. They don't change the fulfillment order in SKU.io. For what to do about each exception, see ShipBob troubleshooting.

How ShipBob statuses reach your sales order

SKU.io doesn't copy ShipBob's statuses onto the sales order. When a shipment ships, SKU.io records a fulfillment on the sales order with its tracking number. Until then, the fulfillment order shows its request status, such as Submitted or Rejected. See the fulfillment status reference.

Return statuses

Shown in the Status column of the Returns tab.

StatusColorMeaning
Awaiting ArrivalBlueShipBob expects the return but hasn't received it.
ArrivedDark blueThe return reached the fulfillment center.
ProcessingAmberShipBob is inspecting the items.
CompletedGreenShipBob finished with the return. Its items were restocked, quarantined, or disposed of. Open the return to see what happened to each item.
CancelledRedThe return was cancelled.

Awaiting Arrival, Arrived, and Processing count as open returns on the dashboard's Open Returns card.

The Return Type column shows Regular for a return the customer sent, or Return to Sender for a parcel the carrier brought back undelivered.

Receiving order statuses

Shown in the Status column of the Receiving tab. A receiving order is a shipment of your stock into a ShipBob fulfillment center.

StatusColorMeaning
AwaitingBlueShipBob expects the shipment but it hasn't arrived.
Partially ArrivedAmberSome of the boxes arrived.
ArrivedDark blueThe shipment arrived.
ProcessingAmberThe fulfillment center is counting it and putting it away.
CompletedGreenEverything was received and put away.
CancelledRedThe receiving order was cancelled.

Every status except Completed and Cancelled counts on the dashboard's WROs In Progress card.

Bill statuses

Shown in the Status column of the Bills tab. A bill is one charge, credit, or payment from ShipBob. The status says where SKU.io put its cost.

StatusColorMeaning
AttributedGreenSKU.io put the cost on a sales order, a product, a purchase order, or a monthly storage or receiving cost entry. Attributed To names it.
PendingBlueSKU.io is waiting for something, usually a shipment that hasn't synced yet. It retries on its own.
UnattributedAmberSKU.io couldn't find what caused the charge. The cost is kept as overhead and never spread onto products. Attributed To gives the reason.
ExcludedGreyNot a cost, such as a payment to ShipBob. It counts only in invoice reconciliation.
Re-attributingBlueSKU.io is working out the bill's cost again after a setting changed.
VoidedGreySomeone marked the bill void because ShipBob dropped the charge. It isn't counted anywhere until someone clicks Unvoid.

The Status filter offers Attributed, Pending, Unattributed, and Excluded.

Unattributed reasons

Shown in the Attributed To column of an unattributed or pending bill, followed by the cost entry that holds it. The Unattributed Reason filter uses the same labels.

ReasonWhat happened
Order not importedThe charge belongs to an order SKU.io doesn't have, usually one from a sales channel you don't import, such as your own store's ShipBob connection. The channel name follows the reason.
Order not foundThe charge was matched to a sales order that has since been deleted.
Shipment not foundThe shipment hasn't synced, or isn't linked to a SKU.io fulfillment. On a pending bill this reads Shipment not found · retrying.
Return not foundThe return hasn't synced, or lists no returned items.
Product unmappedA storage charge for a ShipBob product that isn't mapped to a SKU.io product.
Purchase order not foundA receiving fee whose purchase order number matches no SKU.io purchase order, or matches more than one.
Ambiguous orderThe store order number matches more than one sales order from the same channel.
No referenceShipBob sent the charge without saying what it was for.
Kept unattributed by fee mappingYour fee mapping keeps this fee type unattributed, or the matching Attribute switch on Settings → Financial is off.
Accounting period lockedA receiving fee couldn't be added to its purchase order's landed cost because the purchase order's receipts fall in a locked accounting period. This happens only when Capitalise receiving fees into PO landed cost is on.
Voided manuallySomeone marked the bill void.
Exchange rate missingThe exchange rate for the charge date isn't published yet.

A pending bill becomes unattributed, with the same reason, if it's still waiting 14 days after the charge date. To fix each reason, see Review ShipBob bills and fix unattributed charges.

Invoice reconciliation statuses

Shown in the Status column of the Invoices tab. SKU.io compares each ShipBob invoice with the bills that make it up.

StatusColorMeaning
ReconciledGreenThe bills add up to the invoice amount, to the cent.
VarianceRedThe bills don't add up to the invoice. The Variance column shows the difference.
Awaiting transactionsBlueShipBob hasn't listed the bills on this invoice yet. The next bill sync checks again.

Invoice accounting statuses

Shown in the Accounting column of the Invoices tab.

StatusMeaning
PostedThe invoice is posted to your ledger.
DraftSKU.io created the journal entry but it isn't posted yet.
QueuedSKU.io is about to create the journal entry.
Not posted yetSKU.io hasn't created the journal entry yet. It posts the invoice once its charges have been attributed and the invoice reconciles.
BlockedPosting failed. Hover the chip to read why.
Not postedThe invoice is a payment. Payments are never posted, so you reconcile them against your bank.
OffPost ShipBob invoices to accounting is off for this connection.

Webhook subscription statuses

Shown in the Status column of Webhooks → Configuration.

StatusColorMeaning
ActiveGreenShipBob sends this notification to SKU.io.
PendingAmberSKU.io is registering the notification with ShipBob.
FailedRedShipBob refused the subscription. Last Error says why. Click Re-subscribe All to try again.

Webhook event statuses

Shown in the Processed column of Webhooks → Events.

StatusColorMeaning
ProcessedGreenSKU.io acted on the notification.
PendingAmberSKU.io hasn't acted on it yet. The Processed filter counts it as Not Processed.
FailedRedSKU.io tried and hit an error. Hover the Error chip to read what. Replay it once the cause is fixed. The Processed filter counts it as Not Processed.

See Check ShipBob webhooks and activity.
