Value your FBA inventory
The stock you hold at Amazon is an asset on your balance sheet, so you need its value as well as its count. SKU.io values FBA stock from the same FIFO cost layers that Amazon's ledger builds and uses up. The value is calculated live whenever you open the page, so it's always as current as the last ledger refresh.
Before you begin
- FBA tracking is on, and your opening stock has a cost under FNSKU Products (Initial Costs). Units without a cost are valued at nothing until you fix them. See Investigate FBA ledger discrepancies and cost exceptions.
Check the headline figures
-
Go to Apps & Integrations, open your Amazon connection, click FBA, then open Inventory & Valuation. The Overview tab opens.
-
Read the four tiles: Total FBA Units, Total Value, Avg Cost / Unit and Unique Products. They cover every Amazon connection selected in the picker at the top.

-
Below the tiles, check the status line. It names the data source and says when the stock was Last reconciled. Further down, Cost Confidence shows how much of the value comes from actual costs and how much is estimated.
Break the value down
-
Open the Valuation tab. Inventory Valuation lists every product with its Warehouse Qty, In Transit Qty, average cost (WAC), Warehouse Value, In Transit Value and Total Value. The tiles above total the same figures.

-
To group the list, tick one or more boxes beside Group by: Integration, Country, Disposition, SKU or FNSKU. Grouping by Country gives the value of each country's FBA stock location.
-
To see only products whose ledger doesn't fully agree with Amazon's count, tick Has Discrepancies.
-
Check Ledger Backed. It shows how much of each product's quantity is backed by Amazon ledger entries. Anything under 100% means some layers came from another source, such as an opening balance.
-
To keep a copy, click Export.
To see a product's quantity on a given day, open Ledger Summaries. Each row is one product's opening balance, movements and closing balance for a day, as Amazon reported it.
Tie it to your books
Your company-wide Inventory Valuation report includes FBA stock, valued from the same FIFO layers, and links back to this page. On the balance sheet, each country's FBA stock location has its own inventory account, posted from Amazon's ledger as it's reconciled. Units Amazon holds back for transfers between fulfillment centers appear as On-Hold in the report.
