Description
You make candles, and people online have started buying them. UNITS starts with one shelf and a folding table in your parents' basement and follows the business through a garage, a warehouse, a second warehouse across the country, and a global launch.
Each day opens with a morning plan: what came in overnight, what is short, and the levers to fix it — hire, order stock, build racks and packing tables, book temps, lease the bay next door. Then the clock runs and your crew pick, pack, ship and put away while calls come in: a courier for a scent about to sell out, a push before 5pm, a recall. Every chapter ends in a graded set piece: a gift-guide feature, a creator's livestream unboxing, a coast-to-coast sale, and Prime Day.
Features
- Five chapters, from a basement shelf to two warehouses and an overseas 3PL
- Four graded events, ending in a two-day Prime Day
- Inventory accuracy that drifts: shelf labels stop matching what's on the shelf until you count
- A rival candle brand, Wick Wick Boom, competing for market share
- Minigames: Count Day, Dock Duty, the Returns desk, Pour Night, the Customs Desk and more
- Daily challenges, an in-game newspaper, and Relaxed, Standard and Hard modes
History
sku.io makes inventory and order management software. Its founder runs his own e-commerce business on it, and built UNITS from the problems operators kept raising on sales and customer calls: stock that the system says is there and isn't, a Receiving dock nobody has time to clear, a sale that arrives before the stock does. He designed it; the code, much of the writing and the art (in-game and promotional) were generated with AI tools, then edited and tuned by hand.
