For accountants, fractional CFOs and consultants

Refer a client who has outgrown their inventory tools

If you advise e-commerce sellers, you often see the problem before they do. This page covers which clients we help, how a referral works, the program terms, and how to join. Applying takes two minutes.

Who this is for

Advisors who sit next to the numbers

E-commerce accountants and bookkeepers

You see the inventory problem first, at month end, when cost of goods and stock on hand do not reconcile with what the sales channels say.

Fractional CFOs

Your client wants margin by order and by channel, and a purchasing plan tied to cash. Today that lives in a spreadsheet you are asked to trust.

Operations and system-selection consultants

You are helping a seller pick the system that replaces the patchwork. You need a vendor who answers hard questions straight, including when the answer is no.

What client to refer

Multi-channel sellers with real complexity

The best fit is a seller on several channels, usually Shopify and Amazon plus some of Walmart, TikTok Shop, eBay, wholesale or business-to-business orders, doing roughly $1M to $50M a year with hundreds to thousands of products, or an operation that is complicated for its size: bundles and kits, stock at Amazon, more than one warehouse. If a client sells on one channel and is still small, we will say so and point them to a simpler tool.

Three situations that usually mean a fit

They have outgrown their spreadsheets

Reorders, costs and stock counts are tracked in sheets that one person understands. One broken formula and the numbers stop adding up.

They were burnt by a sync tool

They already bought an inventory or sync app, and the counts it shows are not the counts on the shelf. They oversell, re-sync, and no longer trust the number.

Several channels, several warehouses

Shopify and Amazon plus wholesale or other marketplaces, with stock split across Amazon’s own warehouses and an outside fulfillment warehouse (a 3PL). Nobody can say what they own or what each order actually made.

How a referral works

Three steps, and you are never left guessing

  1. Introduce us

A short email to your client and kalvin@sku.io is enough. Tell us what you have seen in their numbers, so the first call starts in the right place.

  2. Kalvin runs the call, with you in the loop

Your client meets the founder, not a sales rep. Kalvin drives the product live on problems like theirs, and you are welcome on the call.

  3. You hear from us at every stage

After the call, when a proposal goes out, when they sign and when they go live. If it is not a fit, we tell you and your client why.

Program terms

One simple, written program

The fee
10% of the subscription revenue we actually collect from each client you refer.
How long
12 months per referral, counted from the client's first billed month of live service. A signing deposit does not start the clock.
When you are paid
Within 60 days of us collecting from the client, usually sooner. Your partner portal shows every referral and every month owed, so an invoice is never a guess.
Partners introduced by a partner
If another referral partner introduced you to us, the 10% is shared: 5% to you and 5% to the partner who introduced you, so the total on any client is never more than 10%. Introduce another partner yourself and you earn 5% on the clients they refer.
Or a discount for your client
Prefer not to take a fee? Pass the same value to your client instead: 10% off their subscription for 12 months.
Not included
Pass-through items we bill at cost, one-off onboarding and custom development, taxes and refunds.

These terms are set out in full in the SKU.io Partner Agreement and mutual NDA, which you accept online in your partner portal. Your portal also shows every referral, its stage, what each one earns and every payment we send.
