Reconcile ShipBob inventory

ShipBob is the authority on what's physically on its shelves. SKU.io keeps a copy of ShipBob's stock, compares it with its own on-hand quantity, and lets you correct SKU.io with a stock take. Nothing changes in SKU.io until you create that stock take.

Before you begin

  • Connect ShipBob and map your fulfillment centers and products. Stock in a fulfillment center that isn't mapped is shown but can't be compared. Stock for an unmapped product appears under ShipBob Only.

Steps

  1. Open the ShipBob connection and go to the Inventory tab. Click Refresh From ShipBob for current numbers.
  2. Open the Discrepancies tab. Each row is a mapped product where ShipBob's on-hand differs from SKU.io's, with ShipBob On Hand, SKU.io On Hand, and the Delta.
  3. Select the rows to correct, then click Stock Take Selected, or click Stock Take All.
  4. In Create Stock Take From ShipBob, set the Stock Take Date.
  5. Under Finalization, choose Draft to review it before anything changes, or Finalized (Closed) to apply the adjustment now.
  6. Add Notes if you like, and create the stock take.

What you'll see: SKU.io creates a stock take that sets each product's counted quantity to ShipBob's on-hand. If a product is held by open orders, SKU.io saves the stock take as a draft instead, and offers Review Draft Stock Take so you can finish it.

The SKU.io Only tab lists stock SKU.io has that ShipBob doesn't, and ShipBob Only lists ShipBob stock with no mapped product. Map those products first; they're left out of discrepancies and stock takes until you do. Click Export CSV to take the discrepancy list into a spreadsheet.
