Sales Invoices
Orders → Sales Invoices is your receivables workbench: every invoice you send customers, what's still owed on it, and when it falls due. Each sales order has at least one invoice. Most orders have exactly one, which mirrors the order. Orders you bill as they ship, or in stages, can have several. Start with how invoicing works, choose a policy for your customers and channels, then work the list day to day.
