Change a send quantity
The plan's numbers come from your rules, but sometimes you know better: a promotion is coming, a listing has a problem, or cash is tight this week. You can override any send quantity on the plan grid. The edit saves as soon as you leave the box, you can say why, and every change is kept in the line's history so it can be compared with the plan later.
Before you begin
- You need the Send Planner → Edit permission.
- You edit the working plan. Scenarios are read-only: promote a scenario first to edit its sends. See Compare and promote a scenario.
- If you're previewing changes in Tune plan, click Apply & recalculate or Discard first. Edits go to the saved plan, not the preview.
Change a quantity
- Go to Inventory → Send Planner.
- In SKUs in this plan, find the SKU and the network's column.
- Click the send quantity box. Its number is selected, so what you type replaces it. Type the new quantity, or 0 to send nothing.
- Press Enter, or click outside the box, to save. If the number can't be saved, Enter keeps you in the box with the reason showing, so you can fix it. To cancel instead, press Esc.
- If the network ships whole cases, check the hint that opens below the box: your number may have changed to a whole number of cases.
- To record why, click Add a reason on the confirmation message, or click the tag icon beside the box.
- In Why this quantity?, choose a Reason.
- Add a note under Note (optional) if it helps, such as "Lightning deal Oct 14". A note is required when the reason is Other.
- Click Save reason. It stays greyed out until you choose a reason. Or click Skip to leave the edit without a reason.
The edit is saved at step 4: a message confirms it, such as JBC-ARG-4 → WFS: 96 units saved. The box turns amber to show it's been edited, and the SKU appears under the Edited quick filter. Only that SKU's row and the plan's totals update, straight away; the grid stays where it is. Click Edited to show only the SKUs you changed, and click it again to show every SKU.
If stock was already allocated for that line, changing the quantity releases the allocation. Allocate it again when you're done editing. See Allocate stock for a send.
What you can type
The box takes whole units from 0 up. Anything else is flagged as you type and isn't saved:
- Whole units only: letters, decimals or an empty box.
- Must be 0 or more: a negative number.
If the save fails, the box goes back to its previous number and the message says why, for example Could not update the send quantity.
Quantities snap to whole cases
When a network ships whole cases, your number is rounded to whole cases using that network's Case rounding, and a hint opens below the box for 10 seconds to explain it. It floats over the rows beneath, so the column doesn't get wider:
WFS ships whole cases of 24, so 90 became 96 (4 cases). The case size is from the WFS replenishment settings.
The hint links to where the case size is set, such as WFS replenishment settings, Product case quantity or Product overrides, so you can fix a wrong case size at its source. A positive number never rounds down to 0: rounding down a part case keeps one case. If you type less than a case, the hint adds Enter 0 to send none. If the rounded number is the same as before, nothing is saved.
The smallest send per SKU
Some networks need a minimum number of units per SKU. If you type a quantity between 1 and the minimum, the box turns red, isn't saved, and a note opens below it:
FBT needs at least 10 units per SKU (TikTok rejects inbound plans with fewer). Enter 0 to send nothing, or 10 or more.
For other networks the reason reads (Smallest send in Network rules). Links take you to the TikTok FBT inbound guide or to Network rules. Enter 0, or the minimum or more.
Reasons
Why this quantity? offers these reasons:
| Reason | Use it when |
|---|---|
| Promo planned | A promotion or deal will lift sales at this network. |
| Listing issue | Something is wrong with the listing, so you're sending less. |
| Cash | You're limiting what you tie up in stock. |
| Expedite | You want more there sooner. |
| Other | Anything else. Add a short note; the dialog asks for one: Add a short note when the reason is Other. |
Notes can be up to 255 characters. Two more reasons are recorded by bulk actions rather than chosen here: Marketplace's own suggestion and Stock moved since the plan.
To see or change the reason later, hover over the tag icon. It says, for example, Edited from 72 · no reason given yet. Click to add the reason. Once a reason is recorded, the icon turns amber.
Send more than there is to share
If your new quantity, plus the SKU's other sends, is more than its Stock to share, the extra has to come from the stock kept for your self-fulfilled orders. Before saving, the planner asks:
Use protected stock? JBC-ARG-4 to WFS: 480 units is 89 more than there is to share. Those units come from stock kept for self-fulfilled orders (the ones you ship yourself).
- Click Send 480 to save it anyway. The line gets the Uses protected stock flag, and its history records Takes N units kept for self-fulfilled orders.
- Click Cancel to put the box back as it was. Nothing is saved.
Only increases ask. Lowering a quantity never does, and the flag clears if a later edit fits within the stock to share.
Undo, rebalance or use the marketplace's number
An edited box shows icons beside it:
| Icon | What it does |
|---|---|
| Tag | Opens Why this quantity? to add or change the reason. |
| Reset to the plan's suggestion | Puts the line back to the plan's number. The message says Back to the plan's suggestion. |
| Rebalance the other networks around this … quantity | Keeps your edit fixed and re-shares the SKU's remaining stock across its other networks. |
Rebalance around your edit
Editing one network doesn't change the others. If you lower FBA, the units you freed stay at your warehouses; if you raise it, the other networks aren't trimmed to make room. Click the rebalance icon to re-share the SKU's stock around your edit:
- Your edited quantities stay as they are. The rest of the stock is shared across the other networks by the usual rules, and capacity limits are applied again.
- Units already allocated, being drafted or drafted stay where they are.
- If a network can no longer take the SKU, for example because its listing is now stranded, its fixed quantity and allocation are dropped first.
The message says Rebalanced JBC-ARG-4 around your edit. On a phone, use Rebalance around my edits in the SKU card's menu. The rebalance icon works on one SKU at a time. To re-share every SKU, recalculate the plan.
An AI agent or integration can also rebalance many SKUs at once through the API; see Rebalance through the API.
Use the marketplace's own suggestion
Under each Amazon FBA and Walmart WFS box, the marketplace's own number shows, such as Amazon 4,100. It's bold when the marketplace raised an alert, such as out of stock or low stock. Hover over it for the detail (what it suggests, any alert, the ship-by date, days of supply and units sold in 30 days) and Click to send that instead., then click it to send that number. The change is saved as an edit with the reason Marketplace's own suggestion.
Change many SKUs at once
- Select the SKUs with the checkboxes on the grid. The selection bar appears at the bottom of the page.
- Choose the scope: N selected for just those SKUs, or All N for every SKU in the plan (every SKU matching your filters, when filters are on).
- To use the marketplace's numbers, click Use marketplace suggestions.
- To undo edits instead, click More actions (the three dots) on the selection bar, then click Reset edits.
- In Reset edits?, which reminds you that Lines already drafted are left alone., click Reset edits to confirm.
| Action | What happens |
|---|---|
| Use marketplace suggestions | Sets each line to the marketplace's own suggestion (Amazon Restock or Walmart restock), recorded as an edit with that reason. Lines without a suggestion aren't changed. The message counts the result, such as 12 lines set to the marketplace's suggestion · 3 already matched · 1 already drafted, left alone. Any allocation on a changed line is released. |
| Reset edits | Puts every edited line back to the plan's suggested quantity. Each reset is kept in the line's history. The message says, for example, 4 lines back to the plan's suggestion. |
Both actions leave lines that are already drafted, or being drafted, alone. When the selected SKUs have nothing to change, the action is greyed out: Reset edits says None of these SKUs has an edit, and Use marketplace suggestions says None of these SKUs has a marketplace suggestion (Amazon Restock or Walmart restock).
Edits carried forward to the next plan
When you recalculate, your edits aren't lost. For the same SKU at the same network, the new plan keeps your edited quantity fixed, and the other networks share what's left. A notice says, for example, 3 edits were carried forward from the previous plan. They stay fixed; the other networks share what is left. Click Show edited SKUs to see them, or close the notice; this browser remembers that you closed it for this plan.
An edit isn't carried forward if the SKU or the network is no longer in the plan, or the listing has since become stranded or not eligible at that network. The line's history shows Edit carried forward. Only the working plan carries edits forward; scenarios and send runs start from their own rules. To start fresh, reset the edits first.
Why a box is greyed out
When you can't change a quantity, hover over the box to see why:
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Already drafted — change it in the network's draft | The line is already a shipment draft. Change it in the network. See Follow up on shipment drafts. |
| This line is being drafted right now. Wait for the draft to finish, then change it. | A draft for this line is in progress. Lines waiting in a draft group are frozen until it runs. |
| Skipped in the send run | A send run decided to skip this line. |
| Listing is stranded on this network (or the network's own reason) | Fix the listing in the network, then recalculate. |
| Not eligible on this network (or the network's own reason) | The product can't go to that network, such as an item too big for AWD. |
| Not listed on this network | The product has no listing at that network. |
| Scenarios are read-only. Promote the scenario to edit sends. | You're viewing a scenario. |
| You need the Send Planner edit permission to change sends | Ask an admin for Send Planner → Edit. |
| Apply & recalculate or Discard the tuning preview first: edits go to the saved plan, not the preview | You're previewing tuning. Apply or discard it. |
| This plan is not ready to edit. | The plan is still calculating. Wait for it to finish. |
On a phone, one reason shows above the SKU cards instead of on each box.

To change a send quantity, open the Inventory menu, then choose Send Planner. The Plan tab opens with the working plan. The chip beside the title says Up to date. Scroll down to the grid called SKUs in this plan. Each row is a SKU, and each network has its own column. This example changes one SKU's send to WFS. Click the box, and its number is already selected. Type the new quantity, such as 230. Typing zero sends nothing to that network. Press Enter to save. WFS ships whole cases of 12, so 230 became 228. The hint's links show where the case size is set. To record why, click the tag icon beside the box. Choose Promo planned as the reason. Add a note if it helps, such as the deal date. Then click Save reason, and a message confirms it's saved. The box turns amber to show your change. The SKU now counts under the Edited quick filter. Click it to show only the SKUs you changed. Click it again to show every SKU in the plan. Two more icons sit beside the box. Rebalance re-shares the other networks around your number. To undo, click Reset to the plan's suggestion. The box goes back to 252 units.
