Set your own alert notifications
My Notifications controls how alerts reach you. Your administrator decides which alerts the company uses and who receives them; within that, you choose, alert by alert, whether each one shows in your inbox, whether it also emails you, and whether that email arrives as it happens or bundled into a digest. Nothing you change here affects anyone else.
Before you begin
- My Notifications lists only the alerts you're in the audience for. If the page says You're not in the audience of any alerts yet, ask an administrator to add you in Alert Preferences.
- Alert emails go to the email address you sign in with.
Open My Notifications
Go to Settings → Alerts & Notifications → My Notifications.
The page lists your alerts in groups, one row per alert. Under each alert's description, Why you get this: says what put you in its audience, for example that you're an administrator or that you hold a permission.
Start from a preset
The Presets buttons set every row in one go. Use one as a starting point and then adjust individual rows.
| Preset | What it does |
|---|---|
| Everything | Puts every row back to the company's defaults. |
| Important only | Keeps high-priority and critical alerts in your inbox, turns the rest off, and turns off email for all of them. |
| Critical only | Keeps only critical alerts in your inbox, and turns off email for all of them. |
Each preset asks you to confirm before it changes anything.
Choose how you get each alert
For each alert:
- Switch In-app on to see the alert in your inbox and under the bell, or off to stop it appearing there.
- Switch Email on to also receive it by email.
- Pick a Frequency for the email:
- Instant — an email for each alert, as it happens.
- Daily Digest — one email a day listing that day's alerts.
- Weekly Digest — one email a week, on Mondays.
- Click Save Changes at the top of the page. Click Discard to undo everything since your last save.
A dot beside a switch means you've changed it from the company default; hover over it to see Overridden — differs from the default. To put a row back to the defaults, click its reset arrow on the right.
Alerts you can't turn off
- Critical alerts show a locked In-app switch. Hover over it to see Critical — cannot be turned off. You can still choose how they're emailed.
- An alert your administrator has switched off is greyed out and marked Disabled company-wide. You can't turn it on for yourself.
