Connect SKU.io to Zapier

SKU.io has its own app on Zapier, so you can connect it to thousands of other apps without writing code. A new sales order can add a row to a Google Sheet, a received purchase order can post to Slack, and an order taken in another app can become a sales order in SKU.io.

The app is listed on Zapier as SKU.io and is currently marked Beta there.

Before you begin

  • You need a Zapier account.
  • You sign in to SKU.io from inside Zapier, so use a SKU.io user whose permissions cover what your Zaps will do. The Zap acts as that user.
  • One Zapier connection reaches one SKU.io account. If you manage several accounts, add one connection for each.

Triggers are instant: SKU.io tells Zapier the moment the event happens, rather than Zapier checking every few minutes.

Steps

1. Start a Zap with SKU.io

  1. In Zapier, create a Zap.
  2. For the trigger or an action step, search for SKU.io and pick it.
  3. Choose the event, for example New Sales Order.

2. Connect your SKU.io account

  1. When Zapier asks for an account, click Sign in (or Connect a new account).
  2. Sign in to SKU.io in the window that opens, if you aren't signed in already.
  3. Read the Authorize screen. It names the app, lists the Permissions requested, and, if your login reaches more than one SKU.io account, asks which account to Authorize for.
  4. Click Approve.

The connection appears in Zapier named after your SKU.io account and your email address, so you can tell connections apart.

3. Finish the Zap

  1. Fill in the step's fields. Lists such as Warehouse, Store, and Currency load from your SKU.io account.
  2. For fields that need a record's ID, such as a product or customer, add a Find step first and map its result into the field.
  3. Test the step, then publish the Zap.

See and remove the connection in SKU.io

  • Connected app. Go to Settings → Developer → Connected Apps to see Zapier listed with the permissions you approved and what it has been doing. Revoke it there to cut Zapier off straight away. See Review connected apps.
  • Webhooks. Each live SKU.io trigger in a Zap creates a webhook subscription on your account. You can see them, and their delivery history, under Settings → Developer → Webhooks. Zapier removes the subscription when you turn the Zap off. See Monitor webhook deliveries.
